Important End of Season Dates

Dear Members,

We hope everyone enjoyed their summer as it’s officially winding down. Below are the final dates for the facilities.

  • The last day of regular buoy service will be on Sunday, September 28th. The pier attendants will be available for limited hours through the end of September to help members who need to remove their boats. Please contact the office if you need help removing your boat after September 28th

  • The final day for the pool will be September 28th

  • Kayak and paddleboards must be removed from the beach rack by November 1st

  • Tennis and pickleball courts will remain open until first snow. A notice will be sent out when we anticipate closing down the courts

Updated Pool Hours Starting September 2nd

Dear Members,

As summer winds down, we will be adjusting our pool hours beginning, Tuesday, September 2nd.

New Pool Hours As of September 2nd:

  • 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Adult Lap Swim (by reservation)

  • 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM: Open Swim

The pool will remain open through Sunday, September 28th.

August 9 – Bocce Mixer

Join Alan Foster at the Pool Lawn on Saturday, August 9th from 4:00 – 6:00 PM for the final Bocce Mixer of the summer. This is a free event and bringing an appetizer is recommended. Roll into the weekend with bocce and good company! Limit 16 attendees.

Last Day to RSVP for Annual Meeting Dinner Is July 18th

Dear Members,

The Annual Meeting will be hosted on the pool lawn at 4pm on July 26th. The pool will close early on the 26th at 2pm to prepare for the meeting. Proxy ballots need to be returned to the office by Friday, July 25th. Proxy ballots can be returned to the office by mail (P.O. Box 1490), email, fax (530-452-2382), and in person. Please note that there are three (3) openings on the Board and that you may vote for a maximum of three (3) candidates. Both sides of the Proxy Ballot must be filled out for your vote to count.

Following the meeting will be the dinner at 5:15pm for the members who RSVPed. RSVPs are due by July 18th. Here is the RSVP Dinner Form.

Having Issues with Short-Term Renters in the Neighborhood? Here’s What You Can Do

We understand that short-term rentals can sometimes create disruptions in the Dollar Point neighborhood. If you’re experiencing problems such as excessive noise, parking issues, or safety concerns related to short-term renters in your area, there are resources available to help you take action.

Placer County has a Short Term Rental Program that outlines regulations and provides enforcement tools to address concerns. You can visit their webpage for full details:

How to Report a Violation

The fastest and most effective way to report a violation is to contact the 24/7 hotline:

When you call, be prepared to provide:

  • Your name and phone number

  • The address of the property you are reporting

  • A clear description of the violation (e.g., loud party, blocked driveway, overflowing trash)

Examples of violations that can be reported include:

  • § 9.42.080 C – Illegal parking

    • On-site parking for all vehicles, boats and trailer parking shall be provided for each short-term rental. There shall be no parking on the roadway and on-site parking shall not encroach into the roadway.

  • § 9.42.080 D – Excessive noise or disturbances

    • Amplified sound, meaning sound whose volume is increased by any electric, electronic, mechanical, or motor-powered means, shall not be used outside or be audible from the parcel line of any short-term rental at any time.
    • Quiet hours shall be imposed from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. PST. No sound from the STR shall be audible from the parcel line of any short-term vacation rental unit during this time.
  • § 9.42.080 E – Trash
    • Accumulation of trash and debris outside of the short-term rental at any time is prohibited.
    • Bear bin enclosures or dumpsters must be large enough to securely contain the minimum trash service level or sized appropriately to securely accommodate all trash generated by the short-term rental.
  • § § 9.42.080 N – Occupancy limits

    • Nighttime occupancy is defined as two people per bedroom, plus two additional people, up to a maximum of 12 guests, excluding children under 12 years of age. Daytime occupancy is defined as one and a half times the maximum number of occupants allowed to stay overnight at the unit, excluding children under 12.

Junior Tennis Clinic Coming Soon!

A Junior Tennis Clinic with our tennis pro, Alan Foster, will take place from Monday, July 21st through Friday, July 25th.

The beginner clinic is from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM and the intermediate clinic is from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

The cost is $125 per student, ages 6 – 14 are welcome to participate. To sign up your children for the Junior Tennis Clinic, please visit the Dollar Point Association office. 

Now Accepting Party Reservation Requests Online!

We’re excited to announce a new and convenient way for Dollar Point Association members to request party reservations at the Beach or Pool areas — online through the DPA website!

Here’s how to submit your Party Reservation Request:

  1. Log into the DPA website.

  2. Click on “News and Events” in the main menu.

  3. Scroll down and click on “Party Reservation Request.”

  4. Fill out the form with your personal information and party details — including the date, time, location, number of guests, and more.

  5. Submit your request!

You’ll receive an email confirming that your request has been received. A DPA staff member will follow up to review and confirm your reservation. Once confirmed, you may drop off your payment and/or security deposit at the office.

We’re happy to offer this streamlined online option so you can plan your event with ease — no need to stop by the office to get started!

Pay Annual Dues

The 2025 Annual Dues are $1,360 and you can remit payment by check or through the website.

To pay through Dollar Point’s website, go to ‘My Account’ and click on the ‘Pay Annual Dues’ button. The total includes a 3% transaction fee.
