How to Report a Violation
The fastest and most effective way to report a violation is to contact the 24/7 hotline:

When you call, be prepared to provide:

A clear description of the violation (e.g., loud party, blocked driveway, overflowing trash)
Examples of violations that can be reported include:

§ 9.42.080 C – Illegal parking

§ 9.42.080 D – Excessive noise or disturbances
- Amplified sound, meaning sound whose volume is increased by any electric, electronic, mechanical, or motor-powered means, shall not be used outside or be audible from the parcel line of any short-term rental at any time.
- Quiet hours shall be imposed from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. PST. No sound from the STR shall be audible from the parcel line of any short-term vacation rental unit during this time.
- § 9.42.080 E – Trash
- Accumulation of trash and debris outside of the short-term rental at any time is prohibited.
- Bear bin enclosures or dumpsters must be large enough to securely contain the minimum trash service level or sized appropriately to securely accommodate all trash generated by the short-term rental.

§ § 9.42.080 N – Occupancy limits
- Nighttime occupancy is defined as two people per bedroom, plus two additional people, up to a maximum of 12 guests, excluding children under 12 years of age. Daytime occupancy is defined as one and a half times the maximum number of occupants allowed to stay overnight at the unit, excluding children under 12.
