Capital Project Survey Results Available

Many thanks to all members who participated in the Capital Projects survey last summer. The survey was open from July 16 through Aug 15. We had a total of 245 responses. Duplicates were provided from 32 members. The unique membership inputs were 213 or 40% of the membership. This is a fantastic response! We appreciate your feedback and will use the results to guide our investment decisions going forward. There are many large and small investment ideas. As the Board discusses these items and decides where to invest you will hear about what’s planned.

Bottom Line:
Highest priority is investing in the beach

  • Adding TRPA approved sand
  • Adding Kayak / Paddleboard space and/or optimizing location

Many other ideas and requests

  • Highest of these is more shade and better seating at beach and pool
  • Next highest is more buoys
  • Lots of interest in gym/clubhouse
  • Many smaller investment ideas for beach and pool
  • Some thoughts on additional services
  • Interest in more frequent communication and more surveys
  • Many comments that show appreciation and/or trust in the board
  • Ideas on how to manage the capital project selection process

The summary is 40 pages and contains all inputs received. While long, it is filled with the prioritized inputs from members. A good read! Check it out.

Parking Lot Paving

Dear Members,

On Friday, September 15th, Blacktop Sealing will be repaving both the beach and pool parking lots. Blacktop will return on Monday, September 18th, to install wheel stops in both the beach and pool parking lots. All vehicles must be off the areas to be serviced by 8:00 am on Friday and cannot return until end of day Monday. PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE ON SEALED AREAS FOR 48 HOURS. This means that both the beach and pool parking lots will not be available for use for the weekend of September 16th & 17th. You may walk on the sealed areas 4 hours after the seal is placed, roughly 9:00 pm on Friday.

Both the beach and pool facilities will be open during this work.

Thank you for your understanding,

Dollar Point Association

Update ID Cards

Over the winter we switched to a new check-in system and unfortunately not all the barcodes for the photo IDs transferred over.  We encourage all members who haven’t used their ID cards since last summer or whose cards aren’t scanning properly to stop by the office so that staff can test the cards and correct the issue if needed.
